Die GPF e.V. bietet privaten Betreibern von Tor-Servern und anderen Anonymisierungsservern an, die volle juristische Verantwortung für ihren Server zu übernehmen.
- Die GPF e.V. übernimmt den Mietvertrag für den Server.
- Die Finanzierung wird vom bisherigen Betreiber sichergestellt.
- Der bisherige Admin des Servers wird mit einem Werkvertrag beauftragt, sich um den Server zu kümmern.
- Ein Vertrauens-Admin der GPF e.V. erhält vollen Root-Zugriff auf dem Server.
Der Vertrauens-Admin ist ein anerkannter IT-Fachmann und erfahrener Tor-Administrator, der das Vertrauen des Vorstands genießt. Er wird sich nicht direkt in die Konfiguration des Servers einmischen, steht aber mit seinen Erfahrungen als Ansprechpartner (und auf Wunsch als Urlaubsvertretung) zur Verfügung. Es ist sichergestellt, dass kein Vertrauens-Admin Zugriff auf mehr als zwei Anonymisierungs-Server hat. Die Rolle eines Vertrauenens-Admins ist nicht an ein Vorstandsamt gebunden, sondern wird durch aktive Mitarbeit und technische Kompetenz erworben. Vertrauens-Admins werden eingesetzt, damit die GPF e.V. einen Missbrauch der betriebenen Server ausschließen und in Notfällen kurzfristig eingreifen kann. Gleichzeitig wird dadurch verhindert, dass eine einzige Person Zugriff auf mehr als zwei Anonymisierungsserver erhält und dadurch ein Sicherheitsrisiko darstellen könnte.

The GPF offers private Tor- and anonymization-server operators to take the full juristical responsibility of their servers.
- The GPF e.V. accepts the lease contract of the server
- The previous operator is responsible for the funding
- The previous server operator is contracted for work by the GPF e.V. to administrate the server
- A trusted admin of the GPF e.V. gets full root access to the server
The trusted admin is a accredited IT expert and experienced Tor administrator who enjoys confidence by the managing committee of the GPF. The trusted admin will not interfere with the server's configuration but is available for consultation and for holiday replacement if required. It is guaranteed that no trusted admin has access to more than two anonymization servers. The role of a trusted admin does not depend on a position in the managing committee but is acquired by active cooperation and technical competence. Trusted admins are installed to prevent the misuse of the operated servers and to allow a prompt intervention in case of emergency. Also this prevents a single person having access to more than two anonymization servers and posing a security risk.
